Rental Description
Melody Key, located near Key West, Florida is totally off the grid with solar inverter and a on-demand muted generator. Water is amply made through a desalination system.
**Melody Key Island is ideally suited for a romantic destination wedding in a beautiful, private and unique setting.
There are a variety of picturesque locations on the island to choose from whether it be an intimate twilight ceremony on the pier with canapes and cocktails, a relaxed blessing on the beach with a gourmet BBQ lunch, or a more formal evening ceremony at the Main House with a sit-down candlelit dinner.
Couples can choose from a traditional legal wedding to a religious blessing, a renewal of vows or a simple commitment ceremony. Our staff will also arrange and advise you on all your legal requirements and help find the right celebrant for you, as well as wedding planners who can manage all the details from coordinating group travel arrangements, arrivals and transfers, to hair and make-up, flowers, catering and bar services, entertainment, decoration, wedding cakes, wedding favours, invitation coordination, photography and videography, local transport, as well as arrange additional activities for before and after the event.

The location:
We recommend flying in to Key West. There, you can rent a car and it's just a 30 minute drive to Summerland Key where you will be met by our staff, taken by boat to the island, and given an orientation tour. If you prefer not to rent a car, limo service can be arranged.
If you are flying in from an international destination, then we suggest you land in Miami International airport- which is 160 miles away where you can then jump in a helicopter and fly direct to the island.
The heated pool, Jacuzzi, central air-conditioning, satellite TV, great sound system, Wi-Fi, Washer-Dryer, 5-burner pro Grill and Kayaks are some of the conveniences, but if you require anything else, it can be arranged.
Transportation is provided to and from the Island 24/7 (stay in Key West as late as you like!). The parking area is the closest point of land to Melody Key, located one mile east on Summerland Key with parking for 5 cars.
Communication with caretaker can be made through VHF radio or cell phone (caretaker lives only 5 minutes away) and monitors 24/7 if desired. That is up to you.
The residence was built in 1995 as a unique home consisting of two octagonal structures linked together and surrounded by airy verandahs. At 3,500 square feet, plus another 1,500 square feet of screened verandas (thus bringing the overall total to approximately 5,000 square feet), the home is both the largest and newest on any offshore island in the Florida Keys.
Attractions & Activities
Snorkeling
What place can be the better for Snorkeling other than just off of your own private island! Around Melody Key Island, the slope featured cliffs and terraces which make your snorkeling or diving exciting. As you go down deeper, the changes in the coral and other marine flora is conspicuously visible. Along with the smaller fish which frequent the reef flats you have the chance of seeing the larger ones which sometimes come close to the reefs to feed.
Don't panic if you don't have prior knowledge of Snorkeling either- the islands keeper will help you learn it during the free lesson provided!
Jet Skiing

Kayaking
All canoe sessions are guided by a canoe coach, so you'll feel safe and confident. This is a chance to get to grips with your paddle and learn some new skills, whilst discovering all about the history of Melody Key Private Islands and it's neighbors!

Amenities
Entering the ground floor of the house, one finds a large anteroom and a staircase ascending to the living quarters above.
The second floor contains the Master bedroom along with 2 guest bedrooms both spacious and outfitted with beautiful Teak furnishings and queen size beds in addition to their individual full bathrooms. Glass french doors lead to an adjoining 12 ft. by 30 ft. balcony upon which one can relax while overlooking the pool.
The master bedroom features Teak furnishings as well with a King size bed and a luxurious bathroom including a whirlpool/jacuzzi/shower combination.
Leading out of the master bedroom french doors is yet another large private balcony with a wonderful view overlooking the front yard and Cudjoe Bay.
With the installation of separate central air-conditioning systems for the 2nd and 3rd floors, guests can choose their comfort level for the living and sleeping quarters and, with a full laundry room on the 2nd floor, guests are thus able to pack less during their stay at Melody Key.

FOR A WEEKS RENTAL THE PRICE WILL START AT $15,000.
